About Us
Our Story
Many times, fear can keep us from embracing the calling that God has put on our lives – the calling to be a team with our husbands in ministry.
These fears can come from alot of places: the possibility of the church consuming our families, the expectations to be everything to everyone, the potential (and reality) of God’s people causing us great pain, and even that working together with our husbands might put more strain on our marriages than we’re already experiencing.
These fears can cause us to put distance, and even build walls, between us and the people we’re called to love. We’ve been there.
But we believe that God has a calling on us, as ministry wives, that is far more rewarding and significant than our fears, and we want to help all of us embrace it.
We believe that ministry wives deeply want to be embracing this One-flesh calling with their husbands, in the huge myriad of ways that it can play out. That they truly want to be standing shoulder to shoulder with their spouses in shepherding the flock that God has given them. We want to encourage, equip and empower them to do that.
Our Values
Because we value a Jesus-focus
We continually point our conversations to what Jesus is doing in the midst of joy and hardship
Because we value Vulnerability
We intentionally let others into the places we don’t have figured out and replace snap judgements with grace when it comes to each others’ walks with Jesus, ministries in other contexts, marriages and families
Because we value Humility
We create spaces where we can authentically wrestle with our next steps
Because we value Wisdom
We let God’s Word be our guide in tricky situations. We listen well and challenge each other to become women who walk with grace and discernment
Because we value Courage
We call each other to live out this calling with authenticity, wholeheartedly loving the flocks that we’ve been called to, even when they are difficult. We encourage each other to seize the Kingdom opportunities that come with this unique calling
Because we value the Church
We aggressively discourage competition, understand the value of God calling each of us to different contexts and celebrate our diversity. We ask the Lord to guard each of us from comparison.
Statement of Faith
There are many items that we hold dear and will defend, but there are a few that we are willing to die for. These are the “die for” faith statements. We desire to not allow division in the minor areas where the faithful saints of the past have interpreted scripture differently.
1. There is one God, who has always existed in three Persons–Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
2. We’ve all sinned and our sin separates us from God.
3. God made a way to overcome the separation caused by our sin: He sent His only Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for our sins and then raised him from the dead.
4. We receive forgiveness/salvation by personally putting our faith in Jesus.
5. The Bible is reliable
